By: Alex Williams, MMATorch Contributor "Big Daddy" Gary Goodridge will fill-in for Aleksander Emelianenko and take on Paul Buentello on tonight's Fox Sports Net portion of the Affliction: Banned event. Long known as a heayweight gatekeeper in Pride, the 42-year old Goodridge is 10-4-1 in his last 15 fights. However, that number is deceptive. Those 15 bouts strecth all the way back to 2001, with several long breaks interspersed among them. What is more, Goodridge is 0-2 in his last two matches, with his most recent loss coming at the hands of Terroll Dees, who has a career record of 4-3.
All that being said, Goodridge is still dangerous and a very good competitor to secure as a last minute replacement. He should be in shape, since he was training for a fight this weekend in San Diego that was cancelled.
