Okay, there's lot of reasons. He's filming the Ultimate Fighter and is set to face Chuck Liddell in a grudge rematch afterward.
He'd probably get crushed by Anderson Silva. Silva wouldn't prove anything with a win since Ortiz isn't considered a top level title contender at this point.
But, it just might draw. From a business sense, if Dana White could pull it off, people would pay to see Tito Ortiz get smacked.
So if they're looking for a big buyrate, book this match. Then Tito has plenty of time to heal from the beating and get ready for Chuck later in the year.
Come on, how many people out there wouldn't love to see Ortiz vs. Silva as a warm-up for The Spider as he waits for Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort to heal?
Just a thought. Not a realistic one, but I had to throw it out there.

"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
