Fedor is still the predicted winner over Lesnar by most voters by a margin of 54 percent to 37 percent, with 8 percent saying there's just not enough info to base an educated prediction on. Of those who think Fedor would win, nearly half voted for the option that said they think Fedor would win, but they can't count out Lesnar. Sure, Fedor beat the gigantic Hong-Man Choi, but Lesnar is an entirely different bodytype and showed against MIr that chest-to-chest smothering with a swinging low punch protected him from the type of armbar that Fedor used from underneath to tapout Hong-Man Choi. But among those who are the most confident in the winner, 14 percent pick Fedor and only 6 percent Lesnar. Few people think Lesnar is a sure-fire "quick and easy" victor, and those six percent are either very impressed by Lesnar or haven't seen Fedor's fights. Those who are very confident Fedor would win "quickly and easily" have a lot more evidence to point to. What's great about this dream match-up is that we're not talking about a 30 year old on the rise trying to sneak in a fight against a 40-plus year old near retirement (like the Lesnar-Couture fight was) where you don't get to see the two fighters in their prime. If Lesnar vs. Fedor happens in the next year or two, it will truly be a fight between two MMA champions in their primes who are within a year of each other in age. It's just a great scenario all-around, because no matter what happens in the first match, there's time for at least one or two rematches while both are still in their 30s if it turns out to be a close, heated rivalry.
