"The longer a fight is, the more you can get hurt. I want to take [Dan Hardy] out as fast as I can and go home... He deserves [this Title shot]. He's undefeated in the UFC, and he's a great challenge for me. He's a top-10 guy, and we haven't fought yet. Most of the contenders at 170 pounds are guys I've already fought. It's a mathematics problem. It's a new problem that I'm going to solve. It's going to make me a better fighter. I'm going to grow from that... I'm the kind of guy that the reason why I fight mostly three times a year – I don't fight anymore five times a year – is that every time I fight, it's a big fight. I prefer it like this because I want to get the big fish. I want to get the best fighter. At the same time, it give me the opportunity to improve more between fights because I have more time to train. I become a better version all the time than the guy that I was in my last fight. That's why I like it that way."
-UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre talks to MMAJunkie.com about his UFC 111 opponent Dan Hardy and trying to fight only three times a year.
Penick's Analysis: That's one of the great things about watching GSP from fight to fight. While he's already considered one of, if not the, very best fighters in the world, he continues to evolve and improve every time he goes back to training. He continually makes an effort to not just sustain the current level he's already reached but make himself even better. Dan Hardy is in for a fight and a fighter he's not come close to experiencing in his career to date at UFC 111, and it will be great to see GSP back in the Octagon again after the injury layoff.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...
Diaz has a granite chin, possesses perhaps the best recovery in the sport, his pace and conditioning are second to none and he sets records with the volume of his punches almost every time he steps into the cage. Nick Diaz is simply designed to fight the way he fights, and not many other fighters are...
"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
