"[Lawal] is confident. But I'm more than happy to show him he's going to pay in the cage. I'm just more motivated to beat him, just because he likes himself so much. I think he's in front of the mirror 24 hours (a day)... Maybe he's a nice guy. Personally, if you get to know him, maybe he's a nice guy. But for me, now I have to fight him and I don't have to like him. And he's challenging constantly and blah, blah, blah, so I don't have to like him... He's confident because he's never lost. I want to see how he reacts when I punch him, and how he fights then... I have a good chin, and he's basically a wrestler with punches and ground and pound. I have the same ground and pound, even better, with submissions. His wrestling is the only thing that he's better. But I would say, in the clinch I would knee him, and I have my boxing, so I'm not worried."
-Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi talks to MMAJunkie.com about prospective opponent Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and Lawal's recent comments trying to expedite a bout between the two.
Penick's Analysis: This is a fight that will have no shortage of excitement when Strikeforce puts it together. King Mo is a consummate showman and he's trying to rile feathers with Mousasi with his recent comments. This is a nice retort by Mousasi and the match up will be quite interesting when they do meet up. Strikeforce should toss this one either on CBS in April or as a featured fight for the next CBS card.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...
Diaz has a granite chin, possesses perhaps the best recovery in the sport, his pace and conditioning are second to none and he sets records with the volume of his punches almost every time he steps into the cage. Nick Diaz is simply designed to fight the way he fights, and not many other fighters are...
"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
