This Friday night at the UIC pavilion in Chicago, Ill., XFO runs its historic 50th professional card. XFO has made its name with great fights and great fighters, and has dominated the Midwestern area for almost 10 years. On Friday's show, Fallon Fox will make her XFO return. I spoke with her earlier today about her return fight, and our conversation is below:

Brad Walker: Hey Fallon, nice talking to you again. How does it feel to be back in the local scene with XFO?

Fallon Fox: It feels awesome! It's been a long time, I [had] my debut here and it's good to be back. XFO is a great organization and I love to fight in front of my local fans.

Walker: Is it weird going from a larger live televised organization to a smaller local one?

Fox: CFA was mostly televised for particular fighters on the card, and XFO is also televised. If you ask me XFO is a larger organization that CFA, they've been around longer and have a larger base. A great place to fight.

Walker: You're fighting an opponent with less experience in Heather Bassett, how do you feel about the matchup?

Fox: I think she is coming to compete. It will be a competitive matchup, she's a smaller woman moving up and I'm a bigger woman moving down, so I'm hoping we put on a great fight.

Walker: How has your camp been with teammates like Oliver Vazquez and Rafal Skibinski also training for the same card?

Fox: Great. Oliver has helped a lot, so has Rafal. It's been a super productive camp even with one of our fighters getting injured, but we're all ready.

Walker: Have you had any licensing issues with Illinois as you have had with other states?

Fox: No, not a bad process at all. I should be cleared and am expecting my license on the mail or delivered in person before fight time.

Walker: You've had many past opponents who have talked a lot of crap and tried to get in your head prior to a fight. Bassett has not, how is that a change for you?

Fox: It's been so much easier. She's a respectful opponent and I've been very happy with that. I respect Heather Bassett, and I respect and appreciate that she understands that this is two women fighting and one hand gets raised at the end.

Walker: Is it a proud moment for you to take part on such a massively important card like XFO's 50th professional event?

Fox: It's a huge pride. This card is a landmark for MMA, both local and across the board. The UIC pavilion is a huge venue and I can't wait to take my game to the cage for such a historic night of fights.

Walker: Last but not least, how is your fight going to end?

Fox: Knockout. I'm going for it and I'm going to get it!
