UFC 101 QUOTABLES: Pellegrino gave Neer a bitch slap in response to trash talk

"I hit him with everything I had, hard elbows, and he kept calling me more names. He was a tough kid. It kind of made me keep on track to just keep doing what I was doing, stick to my game plan and stop listening to Josh call me so many mean names. I actually slapped him in the face because he kept calling me a bitch. He was like 'You hit like a bitch.' I'm like all right. And I stood up and slapped him. I go 'Now you just got hit like one.'"

Penick's Analysis: It was one of the more entertaining exchanges during the fight, where you could see Neer jawing from the bottom before Pellegrino laid out the slap. Rogen and Goldberg even commented on it during the broadcast. Regardless of the fact that Pellegrino wasn't able to do much damage on the ground, Neer wasn't able to get off his back for much of the fight. It was a well fought fight by Pellegrino and unfortunately for Neer he couldn't do anything to get out off of the ground despite a valiant effort at slapping on a few submissions. Pellegrino was simply too relentless.
