An injury to bantamweight Erik Perez has brought about a last minute change to this Saturday's UFC 159 event, as Bryan Caraway has stepped up on five-day's notice to take on Johnny Bedford.
The UFC announced the lineup change on Monday.
Caraway jumped at the opportunity after suffering his first official UFC loss in March, dropping a split decision to Takeya Mizugaki in Japan at UFC on Fuel 8. That loss snapped a three fight win streak inside the Octagon.
He'll now step in against his Ultimate Fighter 14 Team Miller teammate Bedford, who has won both of his fights in the UFC, finishing both Louis Gaudinot and Marcos Vinicius.
UFC 159 takes place from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey this Saturday night, headlined by the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
