Finally in this eighth episode we get to see probably the most personal prank in the house, as Caraway got his hair cut. There is a lot that went down that night. I never realized how much Caraway cared about his hair, which is why i felt so bad when it happened, cause it was actually T.J. and I who were like "oh yeah, buzz it," thinking it would be funny because Caraway's my boy and I figured, yeah he would freak out, but he'd probably laugh it off.
Well, he ended up not laughing it off, and the interrogations began; "Who did it? Was I a part of it?" All of that little extra stress in the house, oh well, it was worth it to me but I still felt super bad.
The funniest part of the story that you didn't get to see, is Akira actually cuts Caraway's hair, but Bryan was passed out and Akira was able to get out of the room before Bryan even realized what happened. I was upstairs when Akira ran back up and was like "I think i did it."
So I actually went back down stairs to check to see if Caraway was asleep, So I stood outside the door peeking in, and though it looked like he was asleep, the crazy thing was he wasn't. He knew someone would come back down and make sure they cut his hair, so he laid there for like an hour pretending to be asleep hahaha, crazy right?
I went back upstairs to tell Akira he is safe and he can go down to finish the job, because again he wasn't sure he even cut his hair the first time. Well Bryan was obviously faking and as soon as Akira peeked through the towel and turned on the clipper Bryan sprang up like a crazed monkey and chased Akira, hahaha funniest damn thing.
Then the best prank on TUF history happens, Razor Rob, Tiki, and Bisping come up with this crazy idea of not only trapping Mayhem's team in their room and spraying them with fire extinguishers, which were sprayed through the door and through the wall that Diego put nice holes through with the sledge hammer, but he added the mariachi band - who were champs by the way, they did not stop playing no matter how much stuff was filling their lungs or getting in their eyes, it was epic.
Not only that, but everyone from Mayhem's team was pissed, except their boxing coach because he liked the mariachi band hahaha.
Then you guys got a glimpse at the quote of the day mocking Bermudez; that was great because almost every other day there was something new that Dennis said that just didn't make sense, like "water is wet," or "my left, no my other left," when he was actually pointing to his right. That guy is a definite goofball and meat head, but luckily he can fight.
Onto training, Bisping set up a drill that was perfect for Akira, as it made him work on exactly what he needed to to be competitive with Dennis and his strong wrestling. He got worked, but thats whats supposed to happen when you've got fresh guys on you all the time, but this aspect of fighting is definitely Akira's weak point. He's great actually defending the takedown, it's when he is already down that he struggles.
After training I didn't get to see what happened but Marcus had this new prank going about where he puts his jock in everyones face, he was getting everyone the whole rest of the season, but man I didn't realize what a bully Bisping was hahaha, it was great pulling no punches against Akira slapping his head that was pretty hilarious. Then this show it seemed like was all about the pranks, Team Bisping shows up with this team meeting crap, we were actually pretty excited because the house is getting pretty mundane, and they said they had a surprise for us. We all were pretty stoked hoping it would be some special guest or maybe Tiki's girlfriend Arianny hahaha, but nope silly string attack.
The funny thing is all these pranks happened before the semis not during, I was sprinting my ass off on my bum ankles right before my fight with Dodson, more TV magic I guess.
The fight ensues and if anyone takes anything from this fight it is that Dennis Bermudez is probably one of the toughest people around. He got rocked not once, not twice, but three times, only to come back and win with a guillotine in the first. Geez. I actually thought Akira was going to win by outstriking Dennis like he was, but like I said once he's already on the mat he's kind of done. He defended his takedowns so beautifully and put such a hurting on Bermudez I thought he was gonna win, but all it took was one takedown and one mistake in defending the choke and he lost. Congratulations to Bermudez and an amazing fight in my book.
