Well that didn't last long. Clearly there were outside factors contributing to my poor performance, but regardless, there are two new sheriffs in town. After winning our respective titles at UFC 114, myself and Betting Champ Shaun Godric Louis managed to hold onto the belts for a mere two weeks as we were unceremoniously unseated this past Saturday.

What should've been a battle for the ages quickly dissolved into a battle of "meh" as I went blow for mediocre blow with #1 prediction contender Rich "Boles" Hansen. Using a somewhat underhanded, but perfectly legal, strategy, Mr. Hansen came away with the title, besting me on picks 6-5 to 5-6. Congrats to the new champ, but don't get used to that belt. I'll be back.

On the betting side, champ Shaun Godric Louis did manage a small profit on his bets, but he was nearly doubled in losing his title, as Dom762 used a solid strategy, cashing in on two slight underdogs and successfully wagering all $1000. Congrats to Dom762, our new Betting Champion!

In the pools, it was a one man show. Not that we were without some solid, even standout, performances, but Ryan Wankel bested both fields, posting contest-high results in both predictions and bets. Congrats to Mr. Wankel, who'll have the chance to capture both belts at once at the big UFC 116 event in July. Full results follow:

Performer of the Night: Ryan Wankel. Honorable mentions to both Rich Hansen and Dom762 again as both were able to turn in solid performances in the pools in addition to winning titles, but when you out perform everyone in both contests, you're the performer of the night.

Goat of the Night: Jamie Penick. Not a good night for the boss, who posted one of only two goose eggs in the betting, and was one pick off of having the worst predictions of the night as well. Better luck next time.
