After a highly successful Australian debut for Dana White and Co. at UFC 110, its time to take a look at the fallout from our Prediction and Betting contests. With our Prediction contest pared down to only 8 fights, it seemed almost certain that things would come down to a tie-breaker. That prevailing thought seemed to hold true as we had a four-way tie at 6-2, but it was Jordan "The King" McLachlan who lapped the field with a perfect 8-0 mark. He moves on to UFC 111 to take on newly crowned Prediction Champ Fernando Trejo. Trejo threw up an underwhelming 4-4 mark on his predictions, but it was enough to defeat defending champ Godric Louis, who could only muster correct predictions on three of the eight fights. Congrats to our new Prediction Champ Fernando Trejo!
On the betting side, Betting Champ Jamie "The Boss" Penick won a "let's see who can bet more money on George Sotiropoulos" contest with challenger Lightning101. Penick's $500 bet turned him a nice profit, while Lighting101's $200 lost 400 of his dollars and left him woefully short of Penick's mark. Congrats to the new two-time defending champ Jamie Penick!
In the betting pool, Mikey Fritz (still steaming over a lost title shot, I assume) lapped the field my nailing $900 worth of bets on the two underdogs (Sotiropoulos and Dollaway) to win their fights Saturday. With a total payout of $2600, Fritz was the only entrant to double his money, and he'll move on to challenge Penick at UFC 110. Results follow:

Performer of the Night: Jordan "The King" McLachlan. Well welcome to the contests! Not only did The King post a perfect mark on his predictions, he was also the only person to successfully bet all $1000, coming in second in the betting pool.
Goat of the Night: Kubi. Perennial contender Kubi has hit a rough stretch. Once a constant at the top of the pools, Kubi had perhaps his worst performance ever on Saturday. He was sub-.500 on his picks for a second event in a row, this time a contest-worst 2-6, and laid the golden goose egg on his bets. Better luck next time Kubi.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...

"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
