In what's becoming a very disturbing trend, the Prediction title changed hands while the Betting title remained firmly in the grasp of the champ. The Prediction title has become the UFC light-heavyweight division, while the Betting title looks a lot more like the other four. In a battle for the ages, Prediction champ Nick "sent from my ipod touch" Underwood did almost everything he could, going a near-flawless 10-1 on his picks, but it wasn't enough. #1 contender Jamie "The Boss" Penick did him one better with a perfect 11-0 mark on his picks. This probably comes as shocking news to Underwood, but if you're gonna lose a belt, you might as well lose to perfection. Congrats to the new Prediction Champion Jamie Penick!

On the betting side, it was the usual story but with a slight twist. 1,256 time defending champ Scott "The Fountain of Youth" Hart made it 1,257, but he had to defend his strap against not one, but two challengers. Not only did he take on #1 contender Lane "Nice Guy" Bradford, but he also had to deal with Jonah Goodman who chose to cash in his "Money in the Bank" title shot to make it a three-way dance. Let this be a lesson to the other man still holding a briefcase; when you cash in your title shot, do it against the prediction champ. Don't waste it trying to dethrone The Fountain. Congrats to Scott Hart for remaining the Betting Champion!

In the pools there were a number of standout performers. For a long time it looked like we were headed for a tie-breaker scenario as a ridiculous five competitors posted an outstanding 10-1 mark on their predictions, but it was late entry Godric who made it a moot point with a perfect 11-0 showing. Congrats to Godric who moves on to tangle with new Prediction Champ Jamie Penick in a few weeks at UFC 108.

On the betting side it came down to an identical battle of our Prediction title fight. Nick Underwood nearly doubled his money and was almost $300 better than every other entrant...other than Jamie Penick. Jamie successfully bet all $1000 to beat out all others and add the betting #1 contendership to his newly minted Prediction title. The Boss will take on Scott Hart in a titanic clash at UFC 108. Performer of the Night: Jamie Penick, and its not even close. The new Prediction champ is also the new #1 contender for the Betting title. Not a bad day's work.

Goat of the Night: Paul P. I generally don't like to give this contest newcomers for fear of them not returning a second time, but the choices were few for the Goat. He laid the goose egg on his bets and went a second-to-last 6-5 on his predictions on a night when everyone was putting up big numbers. Better luck next time Paul.
