Bellator 140 comes to you live from Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Uncasville, CT. The main card features Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima defending his title against Andrey Koreshkov. Also on the card is the UK's Paul Daley squaring off against Dennis Olson at a catchweight of 173 pounds.

During tonight's prelims, my teammate Kin "Kong" Moy from Redline Fight Sports in Cambridge, MA made an amazing comeback to defeat D-1 wrestler Blair Tugman via triangle choke in the third round. The fight aired earlier this evening on Spike.com. Congratulations, Kin!

Alright, now its time for tonight's main card.


Fight 1: Welterweight - Michael Page vs. Rudy Bears
Round 1:

Page dances around and then he lands a single punch knockdown. Bears gets right up. Page with a spinning kick and Bears closes the gap and takes page down, but they roll and scramble, and Page lands on top. Bears gets up and eats a knee from Page. Bears lunges at Page and tries with a kick that misses. Bears steps in and Page steps off with a right that knocks Bears out instantly! Wow!

Page defs. Bears via Knockout (Punch) - Rd. 1 - 1:05


Fight 2: Welterweight- Chris Honeycutt vs. Paul Bradley
Round 1:
Bradley throws a leg kick after they both exchange glancing shots. Honeycutt shoots and Bradley defends against the cage. they break and meet in the middle of the cage. Bradely presses forward, and then Honeycutt with a double jab. Honeycutt with a kick, and then another. An overhand right from Honeycutt. Honeycutt shoots and Bradley defends. Bradley counters a combo with a left hand. Bradley with another left hand that lands. Honeycutt ties up and attempts a breakdown. Bradley stuffs and they break. Honeycutt jabs and shoots, and then they are tied up again and they break. Bradley keeps coming forward. Bradley eats a left. They are exhanging two and theree punch combos that are not landing all that clean. The bell rings.

Round 2:
Honeycutt lands a hook to the jaw. He shoots and gets Bradley down, but he is right back up. Bradley now takes Honeycutt down, but he is back up. The action stops because of an eye poke, but it resumes instantly. Bradley is landing cleanly now. Honeycutt seems to be slowing down, but he lands multiple jabs to the nose of Bradley. Heads clash and the referee calls time. Referee Big John McCarthy calls in the ringside physician who calls the fight off. It is being ruled a no contest.

Fight 3: Welterweight - Brennan Ward vs. Roger Carroll
Round 1:

Ward opens up with a big combination and then knows Carrol down with a push kick. Carrol gets up and cheers and they give each other a hi-five. Ward knocks him down and steps back from the guard. Ward keeps landing and knocking him down. This is looking like a one-sided affair, and then Carrol lands a kick to the cup. Ward takes a minute and Carrol tries to land a spinning kick to the leg. He does... Ward lands a right that staggers Carrol. He keeps landing and then a big right hand puts Carrol to sleep. He dives for more and Big John McCarthy dives on him to stop the action.

Fight 4: Catchweight (173 lbs) - Paul Daley vs. Dennis Olson
Round 1:

Olson opens up with a double jab that misses. He shoots and takes Daley down with relative ease. Daley gets up and puts Olson on his back. Olson tries for a triangle, but Daley breaks free and lands some big shots. Daley keeps working ground and pound from inside his guard. Olson gets up and Daley with a knee and some big left hands. Olson shoots and takes Daley back down. Daley tries to get up but Olson holds him down and goes for a D'arce choke. He goes for the guillotine and Daley gets out. Daley is on top and he is landing HUGE shots. Punches and elbows are rocking Olson so he ties up. The round ends.

Round 2:

Olson lands a kick and Daley counters with a left. Daley has Olson against the cage and lands tons of big hooks and finishes with a right hook - left hook combo. Brutal.

Daley defs. Olson via TKO - Rd. 2 (1:12)


Fight 5: Welterweight Championship - Douglas Lima (c) vs. Andrey Koreshkov

Round 1:
Koreshkov opens with a leg kick. Throws a spinning back kick as well. Lima with a big leg kick. They tie up and Koreshkov gets a slam. Lima is against the cage wall walking, and he gets to his feet. Koreshkov has an underhook. They break and Koreshkov tags lima before shooting again. Lima gets back to the cage and Koreshkov tries to smother. Lima gets back up. Koreshkov throws a few shots and Lima counters. Lima knocks Koreshkov off his feet with a big leg kick. Then a nice right hand. Koreshkov with a head kick and Lima blocks. Lima gives him a leg kick tha resonates. Koreshkov with a spinning head kick, and Lima evades. Koreshkov shoots a high crotch take down and gets Lima to the ground. Lima gets to the cage and tries to wall walk again as the bell rings.

Round 2:
Koreshkov with a nice left hand. Lima with a jab, but he is not committing to any strikes. Koreshkov lands his jab a few times. Lima lands a solid leg kick. Koreshkov keeps rang with that lead hand, then an inside leg kick. Lima with a throw. He gets in half guard on top. Koreshkov with another spinning kick that misses. Koreshkov keeps coming forward, but Lima is countering. Another spinning back kick and Lima moves out te way and ties up. Koreshkov lifts Lima and has a hard time. Lima balances until Koreshkov finally gets him down. Koreshkov is on top and Lima throws his legs up for a sub as the bell rings.

Round 3:
They exchange jabs and then Koreshkov lands a good right hand. Koreshkov takes Lima down and is in half guard. Lima sweeps and gets up, but Koreshkov shoots immediately. Lima is against the cage trying to grab the neck. The ref breaks them and restarts them in the middle. Lima ends up on his back and tries for a triangle, but Koreshkov defends.The bell rings.

Round 4:
Both men are landing big shots back and forth. Koreshkov is pressing the action and takes Lima down. Lima puts him in guard. He tries to sweep Koreshkov and doesn't get it. Tries again and gets it. Koreshkov takes him down again with an easy single. He lands in half guard is throwing elbows. Lima sweeps and gets up, but Koreshkov goes for the takedown and slams Lima back to the canvas. The ref stands them up. The wrestling match stops because the bell rings.

Round 5:
Koreshkov is pushing the action and throws a spinning back fist. Lima with a right hand. Koreshkov is backing Lima up with the jab. Koreshkov shoots and Lima shrugs. Koreshkov with a left hook that Lima blocks. they clinch against the cage and break. Koreshkov with a spinning kickk to the head and Lima blocks it. Lima with a left to the body, a jab, and a stif cross. Koreshkov counters and tags Lima. They clinch on the cage. Lima turns Koreshkov around and puts him against the cage. Koreshkov reverses. They break and Koreshkov lands a right. Lima with a jab cross. Koreshkov is probing range with his jab and throws a kick. Koreshkov shoots and Lima stuffs. Lima goes for a knee and the Koreshkov with a combo that backs Lima up and he shoots and takes Lima down. The bell rings.

Koreshkov defs. Lima via Unanimous decisions and takes the Welterweight Championship
