Bellator 129 comes to you live from the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowaon Spike TV. Tonight's card features a Welterweight fight between former UFC veterans and native Iowans Josh Neer and Paul Bradley.

Fight 1: Middleweight: Joe Vedepo vs. Davin Clark

Round 1:
Vedepo takes the center of the cage. Lots of foot work but very few strikes thrown. Vedepo lands a lest. He throws combos and Clark circles away. They exchange combos. Clark lands a jab. Clark goes for a jump knee while Vedepo rushes in. Vedepo takes Clark down and mounts his legs. Clark wall walks his way up and Vedepo is trying to trip him back down. He gets it and takes Vedepo back and gets one hook in as Clark tries to stand up and Clark falls to a turtle position. Vedepo is not getting his strikes through but he is smothering Clark. Vedepo is working for a a choke and the bell rings.

Round 2:
Clark opens with a kick to the head and Vedepo counter with a combo. He shoots and takes Clark down and pushes him to the cage. He puts on a guillotine while Clark is against the cage. Vedepo lets go and works a front head lock. Clark eats a short knee to the head and then goes for a single leg which leads to him standing up. Vedepo takes him back down and takes his back. Vedepo is looking for the choke while on his back. Vedepo is sticky and all over Clark working for the rear naked choke. Clark is defending, but he has yet to mount an offense and the bell rings.

Round 3:
Vedepo went right back for the takedown and takes Clark's back. He lets go and lands some heavy ground and pound... and more ground and pound, and more... finally the ref stops it.

Fight 2: Welterweight:James Terry vs. André Santos

Round 1:
Santos is landing light combos and then he turns it up a bit. Terry is moving forward and working his jab. Santos is finding a home for his left, and Terry is getting that jab back in. Terry with a nice leg kick. Santos fires a left that does not hurt Terry. Both men keep working and landing strikes to the head. They start winging and Terry slips after a hit. They areplaying back rock 'em sock 'em robots. Santos lands a big right. There is a cut on Terry's right eye. Santos kicks the cup. Terry says lets keep it going. Terry shoots and Santos ties him up and stays standing. They lock up against the cage and the bell rings.


Tery takes the center of the ring. He lands a straight that staggers Santos. They keep exchanging and Santos shoots and gets the takedown. Terry got back up quickly and started boxing. He is pumping that jab and landing it in between looping shots from Santos. We are back to the rock 'em sock 'em style which is light on defense. Terry counters a combo with a leg kick. Santos is swinging wildly. Santos lands the Stockton slap a la Nick Diaz and then an uppercut. Terry takes him down and starts ground and pound until the bell rings.

Round 3:
Surprise this round looks just like the others. Santos lands a left that drops Terry and hops on his back for the choke. Terry gets up and then Santos throws a knee that ends with a foot in Terry's cup. There is a break for about forty seconds and they get back to it. Terry is walking forward and boxes his way to a takedown. He gets Santos' back and transitions to side control and looks for some chokes while Santos looks for a submission. Then Terry is on top and controlling Santos until the bell rings.

Fight 3: Catchweight (215 lbs): Houston Alexander vs. Virgil Zwicker

Round 1:
They touch gloves and Zwicker throws a kick that Alexander catches and starts pounding on Zwicker while rushing him across the cage. Alexander is on top and landing strong shots. He lands a knee to the body while Zwicker tries to get up. Alexander takes him back down. He works strikes again and Zwicker tries to get back up and he takes him down again. Then there is a headbutt that stops the fight for a few. Zwicker with a kick and Alexander catches and counters but does not take Alexander down. They box and Alexander slips the punches. Zwicker kicks and Alexander counters again with a right. The bell rings.

Round 2:
Alexander ducks under with a strong jab. Both men paw and try to find their range again. Zwicker is landing some good shots and Alexander stays in the pocket. He shots and Zwicker slips. Zwicker lands a big shot and then goes again with an elbow that misses and Alexander takes him down. He lands some big shots, but Zwicker gets back up and lands a knee before they go back to the ground and the bell rings.

round 3:
Alexander takes Zwicker down again. There is a headbutt and this time Alexander loses a point. TAlexander is trying to mix it up and go to the body. Zwicker kicks and Alexander counters. Zwicker lands two strong shots but Alexander keeps walking forward. Alexander takes him down again and starts peppering the body and the head. Zwicker works elbows from his back. Alexander is in his half guard and landing big shots. Alexander controls Zwicker from here until the bell rings.

This bought is ruled a Majority Draw.


Fight 4: Welterweight: Josh Neer vs. Paul Bradley

Round 1:
Bradley opens up with an overhand right that lands. Then Bradley shoots and gets the takedown. Bradley is in Neer's guard working strikes. Neer is already pleading over his eye. Neer is trying to set something up off is back, but Bradley keeps landing shots. More left hands from Bradley. Now he is in the half guard of Bradley. Ironically, or not, they both have tattoo of their respective names on their backs. The ref asks for action. They bell rings.

Round 2:
Bradley gets the takedown and Neer tries to get up, but Bradley has him stuck. Neer is arguing with the ref while he is on his back. Bradley gets to half guard, and then Neer puts him back in guard. The round ends with Neer on his back.

Round 3:
Bradley is boxing and moving Neer is walking and throwing leg kicks. Neer defends a shot. They dance and Bradley goes for a takedown and gets it. Bradley is on top landing shots and he advances to half guard. Neer tries to get up and Bradley takes his back. Neer stands up and shakes Bradley off, but het gets taken back down. Bradley is in guard and landing strikes. The bell rings.

Neer will not shake hands with Bradley, and he argued with the ref while waiting for the official decision.

Paul Bradley wins via Unanimous Decision
