Weigh-ins took place today for tomorrow's Bellator 143 event from the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, and one fight has been scrapped due to a competitor coming in grossly overweight.
That fighter Nick Gonzalez, who came in at 172.5 pounds for what was supposed to be a lightweight bout with Ryan Couture. Being nearly 17 pounds over the limit led to the fight being scrapped, and the organization has since said that Couture will receive his show money and will get a booking on an upcoming card.
