Now-former Bellator Bantamweight Champion Joe Warren couldn't quite accept his loss to Marcos Galvao on Friday night. He protested the rightful stoppage by referee "Big John" McCarthy, and remained defiant in his post-fight interview, saying he didn't tap out to the kneebar applied by Galvao.
However, Warren came around on Saturday, saying he was in shock Friday that he'd actually screamed out in pain as he did.
I want to apologize to my family and my fans for losing I'm very sorry!
Penick's Analysis: It was clear that Warren just couldn't believe what had just happened and didn't want to accept his own reaction. Ultimately, he was caught, he realizes that now, and honestly a rematch isn't a bad idea eventually. Still, I'll give credit where it's due, and Warren did the right thing acknowledging his wrong response on Friday night.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
