Alexis Dufresne's UFC run didn't go quite as she'd have hoped, but she'll get another chance to compete on television in the U.S. later this year, as she has signed with Bellator MMA.
Bellator officials announced Dufresne's signing to their women's featherweight division on Thursday, alongside Roberta Paim and Iony Razafiarison.
Dufresne entered the UFC with a perfect 5-0 record. Unfortunately, a questionable loss to Sarah Moraes in a bad fight, followed by a more convincing loss to Marion Reneau - in a particularly bad performance on Dufresne's part - led to her swift release.
Paim is a 4-0 competitor out of Brazil who has stopped each of her opponents in the first round, while th 30-year-old Razafiarison is 2-0 in her professional career thus far. All three will make their respective Bellator debuts later this year.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
