Bellator MMA returns to the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., on May 15, bringing a Middleweight Championship bout between Brandon Halsey and Kendall Grove.

The organization announced the bout on Tuesday, which will headline the night's card on Spike TV.

"We're really looking forward to bringing another exciting world championship fight to a great sell-out crowd at Pechanga Resort & Casino this May," said Bellator President Scott Coker in a press release. "Our middleweight champion Brandon Halsey has been extremely impressive through his first 8 fights, and I'm looking forward to watching him defend his belt for the first time against Kendall Grove."

Grove, who won The Ultimate Fighter's third season back in 2006 and made 12 appearances within a five year stint in the organization, has gone 2-1 in his Bellator run thus far. In his last outing, he submitted former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Christian M'Pumbu.

He'll now be the first to challenge Halsey, who captured the title in September in just 35 seconds when he choked out Alexander Shlemenko. Undefeated in his short career, six of his eight wins have come in the Bellator cage.
