Welterweight competitor Paul Daley has been kept out of the U.S. for the last couple of years with some legal troubles in the U.K. not allowing him to obtain a work visa.
That's finally been remedied, according to a report from MMAFighting.com, as he's been granted his visa, and looks to make a return to U.S. soil in early 2015 under the Bellator banner.
The exciting and talented Daley has had a long series of troubles both in and out of the cage, most infamously his after the horn sucker punch on Josh Koscheck that led to an immediate UFC release. However, he's been mostly successful in his MMA career, and has just one loss in his last seven fights.
He fights in Bellator for the first time since a one-off appearance in 2012 where he took out Rudy Bears by TKO.
Penick's Analysis: Getting a visa to fight in the U.S. is a major step for Daley to get back onto the radar to fans here, and will allow him to compete in Bellator without issue. He's an exciting addition to any welterweight roster, and given who Bellator has on their own roster, Daley can be competitive top to bottom.
