Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal has been fined $2,500 by the Mohegan Department of Athletic Regulation for his post-fight behavior last Friday at Bellator 123.

According to a report from MMAJunkie.com, the fine was levied due to Lawal flipping off the crowd and cursing at the fans in the cage following his win over Dustin Jacoby. Lawal gave further thoughts on the crowd after the event, saying the could all kiss his ass if they were going to boo him as they did.

For his part, Lawal will pay the fine, as his manager says they understand the commission's right to levy the fine.

"That's their right," Mike Kogan said. "The commissions can do whatever they want. They felt like he was being disrespectful to whatever standards they have, and it's their right to fine them. Of course we're going to pay the fine. He felt like the crowd was against him and he wanted to give them a little bit of their own medicine."

In addition to the Lawal incident, MDAR director Michael Mazzulli says they won't allow another in-cage face off the likes of Stephan Bonnar vs. Tito Ortiz to happen.

"If a faceoff occurs by accident, we're going to make the promoter liable as much as the fighters," he said.

Penick's Analysis: Though it's a tribal commission, they would have had the right to suspend him for not paying the fine, which would have carried weight with other commissions via the association of boxing commissions. Regardless, it doesn't seem to be anything he's going to fight. As for the Bonnar-Ortiz incident, it shouldn't be something that gets repeated anyway.
