Bellator officials today finalized the card for their Bellator 123 event on Sept. 5, which will come to the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.
Of particular note is the return of UFC vet Tamdan McCrory to competition. The welterweight had a mostly exciting but uneven run in the UFC from 2007-2009, but after his release following UFC 101 in August of 2009 he ultimately disappeared from the scene.
A series of injuries and major life events - McCrory's gotten married and had a daughter in the time since his last fight - kept him out of the cage. He'll now return just over five years after his last fight, taking on Bellator Tournament winner Brennan Ward, who fights for the first time since a title fight loss to Alexander Shlemenko in March.
The full card for the Sept. 5 event, which is headlined by a Featherweight Championship rematch between Pat Curran and Pitbull Freire, is below:
