Bellator 117 saw a slight uptick in ratings from the previous week, scoring 617,000 average viewers on Spike TV.
The Douglas Lima vs. Rick Hawn headlined event increased viewership by 45,000 viewers from the Bellator 116 event the week before. However, it was still slightly lower than the UFC's mid-week offering, as "The Ultimate Fighter: Nations" Finale drew 641,000 viewers for the main card on Fox Sports 1.
The Spike TV broadcast peaked with 913,000 viewers. Bellator's roller-coaster season continues, with viewership ebbing and flowing from week to week.
Penick's Analysis: These are decent numbers, in line with most of the season. It's going to take the high-profile names to hit near the seven figure averages that they've received for their biggest events. Unfortunately, those names are going to be used next for their pay-per-view attempt, so this is likely to be closer to what they get down the stretch on Spike.
