Last Friday's Bellator 116 event drew an average of 572,000 viewers to Spike TV, with a peak audience of 782,000 a little over midway through the broadcast.
Spike TV emailed the ratings figures to MMATorch on Tuesday.
The numbers represent a 31% drop from the previous week's average audience, with the peak viewership nearly 350,000 viewers less than the over 1 million who were tuned in late last week for the Cheick Kongo vs. Vitaly Minakov bout.
Friday's broadcast featured the semifinals in the heavyweight tournament for season ten, topped by Blagoi Ivanov making his way to the finals with a keylock submission win over Lavar Johnson.
PENICK'S ANALYSIS: Again, just another example of the rollercoaster of 12 straight weeks with a varying level of interest in fight cards. No title fight plus a historically poor heavyweight division in Bellator meant less interest in this card than others. That said, the Blagoi Ivanov story continues to roll on, and if he wins the tournament this season it will continue to be a great story into a title fight.
