By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief M-1 Global announced this morning that heavyweight Gilbert Yvel, a veteran of PRIDE, has signed a three-fight contract with Affliction. His first fight for the promotion will come on the January 24th Day of Reckoning pay-per-view card, and it will be against Josh Barnett. Barnett's been booked for the card since it's announcement, and there's been much speculation as to who he will face on the card. That speculation ends with M-1's announcement today. Yvel comes into this fight riding a seven fight win streak, and Barnett is coming off his victory against Pedro Rizzo at Affliction: Banned.
