A previously reported light heavyweight fight between Lorenz Larkin and Virgil Zwicker for Strikeforce Challengers 19 has been officially confirmed by the organization, and the fight will actually serve as the card's headliner on Sept. 23.

The event, taking place from the Pearl at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, will also feature a heavyweight bout between Lavar Johnson and Shawn Jordan, as well as the return of Ryan Couture in a fight against Maka Watson.

"Larkin could be the next big thing at 205-pounds, but he faces a huge test in Zwicker on Sept. 23," said Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker. "This fight is going to help propel one of them in the light heavyweight division. When you add in bouts like Johnson vs. Jordan and Couture vs. Watson, this is going to be a really solid card for the fans at the Palms."

Larkin is undefeated at 11-0, a run that includes two straight inside the Strikeforce cage. The exciting 24-year-old began his career two years ago, and has posted eight of his wins by (T)KO in that time.

Zwicker enters the event with a 10-2 record, 1-1 in his two fights in Strikeforce. The 23-year-old has stopped all but one of his ten victories, and his only stoppage loss came at heavyweight against Lavar Johnson in his Strikeforce debut.

Tickets for the card go on sale to the public this Friday, August 19, with UFC Fight Club members getting a presale tomorrow, August 18. Tickets are priced between $40 and $95 for the event.
