After a November 7th debut on CBS that drew 5.46 million viewers for the event headlined by Fedor Emelianenko's bout against Brett Rogers, Strikeforce is heading back to the network, likely in April, according to multiple published reports citing CBS spokespersons.

On top of that news, both Fedor Emelianenko and new Strikeforce signee Dan Henderson have agreed to compete on the card, though neither have an opponent signed for the card.

The date is not set in stone, though April is the target month at the moment. The event will be broadcast in the same 9 pm ET timeslot that CBS's previous 4 MMA events have aired.

Penick's Analysis: Fedor's second fight on U.S. network television should bring in a larger audience than his first, if only because 5.46 million tuned in to see him the first time around, and with the way he dispatched of Rogers in that bout they've got more highlights of their own to hype his second bout. Along with that, Henderson's debut for Strikeforce should be made up as a major deal, so that will add more viewers. Of course, it's once again up to CBS to promote an event the way it deserves to be promoted, and thus far they haven't shown a great aptitude toward hyping up an MMA card. Hopefully that changes with this event, because if it doesn't it won't be Strikeforce's fault if they don't draw enough viewers for CBS to "warrant" another event from them.
