Fedor Emelianenko has one fight left on his Strikeforce contract, and the final opponent on his current deal may be Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.
Citing a source close to the fighter, the MMAJunkie report states that a deal to fight Silva on December 4 is on the table for Fedor right now, and he'll decide whether to take the fight or not in the coming weeks.
Fedor suffered his first true defeat in June, submitting to a triangle choke from Fabricio Werdum in the first round of their bout at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
Silva last fought in May, defeating Andrei Arlovski by unanimous decision to bounce back from his own loss to Werdum, which happened in November of 2009.
The December 4 event has not been confirmed by the organization, and no venue or city has been chosen for the event as of yet.

Penick's Analysis: This is one of the fights I was saying should be next for Fedor after the loss to Werdum anyway. Champ Alistair Overeem stated recently that he may fight in K-1 later this year if Werdum isn't ready to go, so that takes out the Overeem-Fedor bout Strikeforce openly discussed, so "Bigfoot" is the most sensible option at this point. It's not a fight that's going to be a major, major draw, and there is a segment of the fanbase that doesn't think this is a good fight, but for Fedor's last contracted fight it makes sense. If they don't work out an extension before this fight happens, it may be the last one Fedor has in the organization.
