Well, it was an exciting contest right down to the bitter, bloody end.

Mike Jarsulic managed to retain BOTH the Prediction and Betting titles. In the process, he becomes the first ever to acheive that feat.

In the Prediction contest, Jarsulic managed a 4-5 record edging challenger Tyson Kubas who went 3-6. The new #1 Contender is a familiar face and none other than yours truly. My published picks went 6-3, good enough for best overall in the pack.

Mike and I will resume our rivalry on Wednesday night. The backstory is that Mike and I are the only two time Prediction champs and Jars had the audacity to end my first reign prematurely. Given my renewal in the prediction game, I feel very confident about reclaiming my title and becoming the FIRST THREE-TIME (three-time) Prediction Champion.

On the betting side, a number of players were able to make a profit thanks to some upsets with long odds.

Jarsulic defended his belt despite going oh for three. Unfortunately for challenger Matt Pelkey, he didn't hit on any picks either. So, ties go to the champion and Jarsulic holds on for another battle on Wednesday.

The new #1 Contender is MMA Torch reader Mark Patterson. Patterson managed to roll up a profit of $1,948.43.

His winning picks:

$300 on Werdum = $1,140
$400 on Gouveia = $1,140
