Our first two MMATorch Prediction Championship contenders will be determined by who correctly predicts the most matches at UFC 67. The winning MMATorch reader will compete head-to-head against the winning MMATorch staff member in predicting UFC 68 matches. This championship "match" will be detailed in our Staff Predictions article before UFC 68. There will be predictor profiles and the works, hopefully some good smacktalk between the contenders, leading up to this all-important first MMATorch championship event.
To be eligible, you must submit at least Part A above. Part B and Part C are optional. In the event of a tie, the winners will be determined by who correctly predicts the most combined methods (Part B) and rounds of victory (Part C). In the further event of a tie, winners will be determined by Part B. In determining method/round of victory scores, KO and TKO will count as one in the same, as will split and unanimous decision. These methods of victory will only be differentiated between if a further tiebreaker is necessary.
Please send in your predictions by 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday February 3. Entries can be resubmitted up until this time. Please make a note in your e-mail that your entry is a resubmission, which will void your original entry.
Remember -- you've got to play to win, so send in your predictions and show us why you deserve to reign supreme as the MMATorch Prediction Champion. It won't be an easy task securing a spot in the championship match, but once you're there, it'll be easier to stay on top. As the champion, you'll only have to compete with one other person. The rest of us, in the meantime, will be competing against each other to become the new number one contender for your title. We'll keep a lineage of the champions here on the site. As times goes on, there’ll be more and more people competing to be the new number one contender, so it’d be wise to get in on this contest now, for your best chance at securing your legacy in the record books early. Good luck all!
